UPDATE DATE: Friday, February 23 from 3:00-5:00 pm: Harm Reduction for Substance Abusing Teens & Supporting Youth with Substance Using Parents/Guardians

Join Chardae Korhonen from Ozone House and Robin Robinson from Ann Arbor Alateen.  Chardae Korhonen, Ozone House Engagement Program Manager will be sharing her experience in taking a hybrid approach combining both prevention and harm reduction based interventions to support youth throughout Washtenaw County, who are at-risk of developing a substance use disorder. Our 2nd hour of training will give participants an opportunity to hear from a panel of teens who participate in Ann Arbor Alateen and have been impacted by substance use in their homes. They will share their experiences and give community agencies thoughts on how to best support peers in similar situations. Alateen sponsor Robin Robinson, who has been in Al-Anon for 8 years and lead the Ann Arbor Alateen meeting for 2 years, will explain more about Alateen as a resource. Register here.
